UFL Updates
Hi Everyone. Sorry it’s been so long since I’ve posted, but I’ve found little time between my two jobs to do any writing recently. However, with the UFL season winding down and the Championship game just two weeks away, I thought it would be important to write about some recent updates and things to be looking forward to.

The Florida Tuskers trounced the California Redwoods in front of 12,000 fans at the Citrus Bowl last night. While the first quarter started off slow for both teams, the Tuskers asserted their dominance in the second quarter, taking a 17-0 lead into halftime.
9 days after starting for the California Redwoods in their loss to the Locos, Shane Boyd was benched and Mike McMahon got the start. Both teams struggled a bit on offense, and the Redwoods were carried heavily on the back of their running back Cory Russ who rushed for 121 yards and a touchdown. He also had 27 yards receiving.
The Las Vegas Locomotives will open up the premiere season of the UFL against the California Redwoods at Sam Boyd Stadium in Las Vegas on October 8th. It will be the first game of the UFL’s season and the first opportunity for the league to showcase its brand of football to the public. Much like the New York Sentinels who will play a game at Rentschler Field in Hartford, CT, the Locos will share a home game with Los Angeles, playing in the Home Depot Center. The Locomotives will also have home field advantage should they make it to the Championship game scheduled for November 27th, 2009 in Sam Boyd Stadium.
